Fox McCloud is the leader of the Star Fox team and one of the playable characters in Super Smash Bros. Melee. In Melee, he is an extremely agile and deadly fighter. Because of his overwhelming close-combat ability and advantageous matchups across the cast, many players consider him the best character in competitive Melee.
However, many of Fox's techniques require high precision and speed to input, so his actual power is very strongly tied to the player's personal tech skill and consistency. Because every new technique you master and every bit of consistency you hone over time unlocks so much of his potential, learning Fox can be very rewarding, if difficult.
